The Experimental Flight Department (RSV) is the Air Force Department responsible for the study and conduct of all ground and flight tests of the Armed Forces' aircraft, the development of software and hardware modifications to aeronautical weapon systems, as well as the execution of the Operational Test and Evaluation (OT&E) of new weapon systems in the real context of use.
The Experimental Flight Department is part of the Experimental Flight Centre and is structured into five groups:
311th Flight Group;
Technical Group;
Software Management Group;
Aerospace Engineering Group (GIAS);
Armament and Countermeasures Group.
