The "Garibaldi" Bersaglieri Brigade is one of the Great Units that the Armed Force counts among the "Projection Forces"
Established in 1975 in Pordenone on the basis of the 8th Bersaglieri Regiment, it is assigned to the "Ariete" Armored Division. After the dissolution of the Division in 1991, it moved to Campania and became the first unit made up of voluntary personnel
Consisting of regiments on personnel in Fixed Station, Short and Permanent Service, it is equipped and organized to be easily deployed abroad
Located in Campania and Calabria, it consists of a command department, two Bersaglieri regiments, a tank regiment, a cavalry regiment, an artillery regiment, an engineering regiment and a logistic regiment.
