The 46th Air Brigade "Silvio Angelucci" is a unit of the Italian Air Force located at the Pisa-San Giusto airport. It originates from the 46th Land Bombardment Wing and its war flag is the most decorated of all the flight units of the Italian Air Force.
Its tasks today are tactical transport, transport of materials, vehicles and equipment, emergency medical transport, transport of organs for transplant, medical air evacuation and support for Civil Protection both in Italy and abroad. Since 1956, it is the only department of the Air Force to deal with these tasks.
