Six months after Neo's revelation as the One, the rebel humans continue to fight against the machines, for the final liberation of the human species. A general order is issued to return to Zion to stop the machines' advance into the outside world, but those who believe in the One ignore the order and stay outside the citadel in order to constantly connect to the Matrix, in the hope of important communications from the Oracle.
