Between 1991 and 1992 the Lancia Delta Integrale was always on the crest of the wave having shown impressive competitiveness in the world rally and beyond. 1992 would be the last season with the sponsor Martini Racing. At the end of the season the Turin manufacturer was still world constructors champion, even for the sixth consecutive time, although the drivers' title was won by Carlos Sainz, standard bearer of Toyota. Lancia's 1992 balance was exceptional: eight victories out of ten rallies, always on the podium, four doubles.
