The Alfa Romeo 90 is a mid-range sedan produced by the Italian automobile manufacturer Alfa Romeo from 1984 to 1987 at the Arese plant.

At the end of the 70s, Alfa Romeo had launched the 154 and 156 projects, two new rear-wheel drive cars intended to replace the Giulietta and the Alfetta respectively. The crisis in which the Milanese company found itself, however, soon forced it to abandon the project for a new platform. To overcome the delays in development, in 1982 Alfa Romeo launched the 162A and 162B projects, respectively the future 90 and 75, aimed at reusing as much as possible the mechanics of the models then on the market, namely the Alfetta and the Giulietta.

The 90, heir to the Alfetta, took from its progenitor not only the entire mechanics, including the engines, but also a good part of the chassis, some external sheet metal and the "door surround". The task entrusted to Bertone to redesign only the external part and a new headlight was not the easiest: the final result was a sedan with sober and square lines, rather anonymous but not devoid of a certain elegance.
