Cassian Jeron Andor, born Kassa, is a fictional character in the Star Wars universe. He first appeared in the film Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and is the protagonist of the prequel television series Andor.


Andor is an orphan from the abandoned mining planet Kenari. After being adopted and taken from his home by scavengers, he grows up on the industrial planet Ferrix. As a young man, he smuggles stolen Imperial ship parts before joining the Rebel Alliance. During the events of Rogue One, Cassian is a pilot, an intelligence officer for the Rebel Alliance, and the leader of Rogue One, a Rebel unit tasked with stealing the Death Star plans.


The character, played by Diego Luna, has received mixed reviews from critics. Luna has been praised for his performance, but there has been some criticism over the quality of the narrative that drives the character. However, the introduction of a Mexican protagonist, and one of the first Latino protagonists in a Star Wars film, has been considered a milestone for Latino representation.
