Superman, whose Kryptonian name is Kal-El, while his Earth name is Clark Kent, is a fictional comic book character created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster in 1933, but only published by DC Comics in 1938 as the character previously had a own newspaper signed by the authors; is the first superhero in the history of comics and is also nicknamed Man of Steel or The Man of Tomorrow.
