The Alpine Troops Command is a top command of the Italian Army that coordinates the activities and use of Alpine troops. Born in 1997 as an evolution of the 4th Alpine Corps, it is based in Bolzano.

Previously employed by the Command of the Land Operational Forces, since 1 October 2016 he has been directly reporting to the Chief of Staff of the Army.

The Alpine Troops Command descends from the IV Great Military Command set up in Bologna in execution of the decree of 25 March 1860, under the command of Lieutenant General Domenico Cucchiari with mainly territorial functions, capable of transforming itself into an army corps command in the event of war; the territory between the Panaro and Taullo rivers is placed under its jurisdiction. Suppressed in 1867, the divisions to which it belonged became autonomous.
