Superman, whose Kryptonian name is Kal-El, while his Earth name is Clark Kent, is a comic book character created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster in 1933, but only published by DC Comics in 1938. He is also nicknamed "The Man of Steel "(original: Man of Steel) or" La Macchia "(The Blur) in the TV series Smallville.
