HAVE YOU EVER HEARD ABOUT THE LEGENDARY BLACK GHOST, PROTAGONIST OF CLANDESTINE CAR RACES IN THE DETROIT OF THE SEVenties? IF THE ANSWER IS NO, YOU CAN REMEDY BY LOOKING AT THE IMAGES OF 'THE BLACK GHOST: STREET RACING LEGEND', A FRESH PRODUCTION DOCUMENTARY THAT TELLS THE EVENTS OF THIS DODGE CHALLENGER
THE OUTLAW POLICEMAN: Scrolling through the images you will find yourself in front of the events of an incredible 1970 Dodge Challenger R / T SE, driven in those years by Godfrey Qualls. A name that would have entered the Olympus of street races, at night and obviously outlawed. Even more famous than its owner has become the special Challenger, shrouded in mystery for years. Only some time after the Dodge raids on the asphalt of the US city did someone discover that that black muscle car was being driven by an off-duty policeman.
PARACHUTE ADRENALINE: Qualls was not just any policeman, but a veteran paratrooper, who had declared that he wanted that kind of car just to make up for the nostalgia for that adrenaline rush that only a jump out of a flying airplane can give. The 'phantom cop' remained a legend in the Detroit street racing scene for decades, even though no one knew his real name. He raced, a lot, of course, but always keeping his identity secret and feeding the aura of mystery.
FORTY MINUTES OF LEGEND: It wasn't until many years later, when he asked for help to restart the Challenger, that people began to learn about him as well, as well as the incredible story behind the car. The movie, easily available online, lasts about forty minutes and tells a piece of real history, high in adrenaline and flavored with gasoline: the story of the Black Ghost, the Detroit legend.
THE PERFECT GIFT: Anyone interested in classic American cars - hobbyists, collectors, dads and more - will love this car model!
